We appreciate that some of our potential customers may find dealing with web sites, hosting and the terminology involved quite daunting. We want to help you understand this and deal with any unanswered questions. How long will it take for my web hosting account to be setup?

 


All web hosting accounts are activated in real time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We send your welcome email within ten seconds of your account being ordered, which means you can also logon straightaway!

How long will it take for my new domain name to become active?

 


Domains are registered as soon as you order them, however it can take between 24 and 72 hours for them to become visible on the Internet. This is standard for domain names wherever they are registered, as it can take this time for the name to be “learned” by the whole internet.

Can I buy a domain name without the web hosting?

 


Yes. It’s not necessary to purchase web hosting, but if you do decide to choose Community WebSolutions as your web host at a later date, you can easily come back to order this.

How can I pay for my web hosting account or domain name?

 


For your online safety and to keep administration costs low, our preferred payment method is by Pay Pal, which will allow you to pay by Debit or Credit Card including MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (Switch), Solo, Visa Electron and Visa Delta.

We regret that we do not accept cheques, postal orders, standing orders or cash.

Do I get an invoice?

 


Yes, every time you buy a product from us we will email you an invoice. Invoices are also available to view and print at any time from the control panel in your online account.

Do you host adult or warez websites?

 


No, we do not host any adult or warez (warez are illegally stolen software, music, videos or other copy protected material) websites. We have a strict policy on this and anyone found with this type of content on a website hosted at CWS will immediately have their contract terminated, i.e. hosting withdrawn, with no refunds.

What is web hosting?

 


Web hosting refers to the process of publishing a web site so that it is available on the internet. Paying for web hosting also means you can register and use the domain name of your choice and your website doesn't become full of forced advertising, as in free web hosting.

Do I need any technical knowledge?

 


No technical knowledge is needed to get you started. We provide excellent website builder software to enable you to get your site up and running. All you have to do is enter your information and the software will walk you through the rest. It’s easier than typing out a letter.

We would of course recommend you follow these tutorials if you would like to produce more advanced websites.

What is the Website Builder Software and how do I use it?

 


Through the control panel in your online account, you have access to 2 website builder wizards. Both offer a step by step process that enable you to build your site, with over 500 template styles to choose from and over 90,000 images to place on your site.

You also have the option to create your website using your own software, then uploading the files to your space

What kind of support do you offer?

 


We have a powerful online helpdesk system which operates 24/7, 365 days of the year. If you require support you enter a request using your individual login, which will be recorded against a unique ticket number, which you can use to track your requests. We will always strive to solve your support queries as fast as possible.

Due to the most up-to-date technology we use, we anticipate that you won't have to use this system much!

Is there a minimum term contract?

 


To help keep our costs low, we currently only accept annual payments. You are certainly not tied to staying with us (though we really hope you do!), but if required we will help you with minimum fuss (and no fee) to transfer your domain to another host.

If you compare our annual fees to the monthly fees of other providers you'll see just what good value we are. That's the benefit of building a bigger community of customers - we can keep our costs lower.

Your hosting is low cost, is the service?

 


We certainly don’t cut back our service to keep our costs low. When comparing our costs to other providers, don't forget to compare the features of the package too.
